 | | Buses in London - 1970's & 80's (120 images)
Pictures of London buses scanned from slides and pints. Photographs show RT and RF buses during the 1970's including a few of RT624 working the last RT service in to Barking garage on the 7th of April 1979. Also included is probably the last photograph of an RT on route 12. This was taken a few days before Shepherd's Bush garage lost its allocation of RT's (when Routemaster operation commenced on the 105). Several London Country buses were still in the attractive dark green and yellow livery during the late 1970's, as seen on various types in this collection.
The 1980's photographs show Routemaster operation in central and outer London. By the end of the 1980's most of the outer routes had gone over to OPO.
